Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Develop Business Plans: Sales Managers oversee the Sales department, developing overall business plans including sales strategies and profit goals. This involves performing territory and sales analyses, assessing results, and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  2. Secure Sales: A key function is securing sales for the company, both directly and through team members. This includes closing individual sales and contracts via phone, email, or in person during sales visits.
  3. Build Relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with potential and current clients is essential. The Sales Manager networks to form new relationships and follows up through various communication channels.
  4. Lead the Sales Team: Leading a team of salespeople involves training, holding conference calls, reviewing expense reports, coaching, motivating, and supporting team members to achieve sales goals.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales with a successful track record.
  • Industry experience in office supplies, stationery, and furniture.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience dealing with private and public sector clients.
  • Experience managing a team of at least ten sales representatives.
