Responsibilities
- Develop & implement the sale plan to achieve the sales targets for the business
- Ensuring optimum customer satisfaction, negotiating rates and service agreements.
- Define a coherent business growth strategy and related execution plan to include KPI and other performance measures.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and strategic directions of the business
- Accountable for delivering annual budgeted sales
- Deliver on sales budget & gain market share.
- Sales planning and forecasting to deliver the sales targets
- Travel to customer and prospective customer sites to seek out and negotiate new business opportunities.
- Keep track of and monitor competitors’ activities and strategies and update the Senior Management team in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving customer data accuracy
- Ensure minimum loss of clients and maximum gains of new business from existing clients.
- Increase in customer database (new clients)
- Designing and delivering innovative service solutions for distinct types of customers within the regulatory framework.
- Time management and priority planning
- Consult & partner with Regional and/or international peers on defined customers to create and grow opportunities
- Consult with global business development teams to improve/leverage relationships
- Responsible for identifying and exploring marketing opportunities, seminars and workshops.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on program specifics, Intertek services
- Prepare an annual events plan for budgetary purposes.
- Responsible for promotional items and gifts
- Continually build our understanding of the customer’s business by building strong
- relationships with existing Accounts customers and develop relationships with new ones to
- leverage maximum value by customer by region.
- Resolve escalated customer queries.
- Maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
- National travel within South Africa if requested
Required Minimum Experience/ Qualification & Knowledge
- National Diploma B.Sc./B Eng. or relevant engineering diploma/degree desirable or extensive work experience within the field supported by short course/s
- 6-10 years experience within Oil, Petroleum and Chemical Industry within strategic Business Development as part of regular functions.
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Drivers license
