We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Technical Sales Specialist to join our team and help revolutionize the way bakeries in South Africa, Botswana, and other African countries approach their baking processes.
The ideal candidate will be a baking expert who understands the nuances of the bakery industry and has the technical knowledge to promote enzyme-based solutions as a superior alternative to traditional premixes.
This position requires a combination of baking expertise, technical knowledge, and sales acumen to build strong relationships and convince bakeries to transition to using single enzymes in their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultative Sales: Engage with bakery owners and key decision-makers across South Africa, Botswana, and other African countries, building relationships to identify opportunities where enzyme-based solutions can enhance their products and processes.
- Technical Expertise: Use your in-depth knowledge of baking to identify baking flaws, troubleshoot, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide expertise in enzyme usage to improve dough quality, texture, shelf life, and overall product performance.
- Product Education: Train and educate bakery staff on the benefits of enzymes versus traditional premixes, demonstrating how enzymes can help streamline their production processes, reduce costs, and improve the consistency of their baked goods.
- Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in the African bakery industries and use this insight to tailor your approach and provide value to your clients.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any baking issues or challenges that bakeries are facing, leveraging enzyme knowledge to develop tailored solutions.
- Sales Growth: Actively drive the transition for bakeries to move away from premixes and embrace enzymes, fostering long-term relationships that lead to increased sales and client retention.
- Travel: The role will require frequent travel within Africa to visit clients, provide in-person consultations, and support bakery operations directly.
