What We’re Looking For:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum of a National Diploma in Sales or Marketing
- 10+ years of proven external sales experience, preferably in hygiene, services, or industrial sectors
- Strong track record of exceeding sales targets in the designated region
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to self-manage, initiate action, and drive growth
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); CRM systems knowledge an advantage
- Experience with public sector tenders and procurement processes is essential
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the region
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies and plans targeting specific industries, customers, and sectors
- Drive new business development by identifying, qualifying, and closing new opportunities in both private and public sectors
- Proactively monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly
- Must be aware of all upcoming tenders for Municipalities and Departments
- Attend briefings, submit tender documents, and manage appeal processes when applicable
- Assist with tender pricing, technical input, document preparation, and delivery
- Build and maintain key relationships with municipalities, government departments, and procurement officers
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with existing clients to drive retention, upsell, and contract renewals
- Serve as primary point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring service delivery excellence and satisfaction
- Manage contract lifecycle from negotiation to onboarding, implementation, and follow-up
- Resolve customer complaints and service queries promptly and professionally
- Maintain a healthy, active sales pipeline using CRM or sales tracking tools
- Submit accurate monthly forecasts, activity reports, call cycles, and pipeline updates
- Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales status
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless transition and execution of new business
- Coordinate with finance, operations, and customer service to ensure smooth contract rollouts
- Assist with onboarding documentation, including detailed contract handover sheets
- Support junior or depot-level sales staff with coaching, tender input, and strategic insight
- Represent Sanitech at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities
- Promote full suite of Sanitech offerings, cross-selling where relevant (e.g. from hygiene to rentals or waste)
