The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve the sales targets and drive revenue growth within the branch.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales tactics and strategies accordingly.
- Set individual sales targets for the team and monitor their performance.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to enhance performance and achieve sales targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Act as a point of contact for key clients, promptly addressing any issues or concerns.
- Develop strategies to expand the customer base and improve customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the daily sales operations, including order processing and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all sales policies, procedures, and standards.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to the Branch Manager.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and product knowledge.
- Provide training and resources to the sales team on new products and industry trends.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and optimise sales efforts.
- Participate in strategic planning meetings and provide insights on sales performance and market trends.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse sales data and market trends to inform strategies
- Proficiency in CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite / G suit & Google Workspace.
