Job description

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve the sales targets and drive revenue growth within the branch.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales tactics and strategies accordingly.
  • Set individual sales targets for the team and monitor their performance.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to enhance performance and achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Act as a point of contact for key clients, promptly addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Develop strategies to expand the customer base and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the daily sales operations, including order processing and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with all sales policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to the Branch Manager.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and product knowledge.
  • Provide training and resources to the sales team on new products and industry trends.
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and optimise sales efforts.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings and provide insights on sales performance and market trends.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyse sales data and market trends to inform strategies
  • Proficiency in CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite / G suit & Google Workspace.
