Sales Manager – Travel Industry | Cape Town (Hybrid)

Location: Gardens, Cape Town (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced and capable Sales Manager to lead and support a high-performing Travel Sales Team servicing the South African and Nigerian markets.

This hybrid role is based in Cape Town (Longkloof precinct), with four days in the office and one day remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of sales consultants to consistently deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as ticketing turnaround times, sales conversion rates, and overall productivity
  • Ensure quality control, fare accuracy, and compliance with relevant industry regulations
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to foster team development and improve performance
  • Drive operational efficiency through process optimisation and cross-team collaboration

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the travel industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role
  • Strong knowledge of Amadeus and airline fare rules
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams while remaining actively involved in sales operations
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and CRM systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead with empathy and accountability

Preferred:

  • Tertiary qualification
  • Experience managing teams across multiple markets
