Job description

Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To) :

  • Ensure effective management and development of the sales department.
  • Drive growth of the sales portfolio (new business) in line with business strategy.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Tertiary qualification in Sales / Marketing (optional but advantageous)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at sales management level within a manufacturing company
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license

Key Responsibilities :

  • Achieve sales revenue growth through acquisition of new customers and expansion into new markets
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies
  • Ensure accurate monthly sales forecasting and achievement of forecast
  • Monitor and manage monthly order book
  • Develop and maintain annual sales budgets
  • Lead the sales team effectively through resource allocation and daily sales monitoring
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings focused on retention and growth of customer base
  • Approve weekly sales call plans
  • Compile and submit weekly sales reports (new business, forecast, open quotes, lost / at-risk customers, etc.)
  • Represent the sales team at weekly management meetings
  • Attend morning production meetings to align sales priorities
  • Act as a company representative at customer meetings as part of the management team
  • Collaborate with factory manager on pricing of new inquiries
  • Present tooling costs to the General Manager for approval
  • Monitor and resolve overdue debtor accounts
  • Ensure timely closure of credit applications by the sales team

  • Understanding of corrugated manufacturing processes is advantageous
