A recruitment agency in Johannesburg is seeking a Sales Manager to lead local and export sales teams. Qualifications

  • Solid understanding and experience in the retail industry.
  • Experience in sales and execution of capital equipment, preferably within retail.
  • Well-networked within the franchise and corporate retail sectors.
  • Refrigeration experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with refrigerated cabinets and insulated cold/freezer rooms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage both Local and Exports Sales teams: KPIs, Sales planning, Budgets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for both local and export sales.
  • Handle budgeting and forecasting for local and export sales.
  • Lead the sales team to achieve set targets.
  • Manage customer expectations and relationships.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and generate potential leads and new markets.
  • Acquire new clients.
  • Manage key accounts and maintain relationships with key customers, including face-to-face meetings.
  • Oversee sales pipeline and report weekly on sales activities.
  • Ensure quotations and estimates are accurate and timely.
  • Manage customer debtors and follow up on payments.
  • Manage the estimator and drafting departments, balancing workload and prioritizing inquiries.
  • Analyze sales data to adjust customer and market strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure sales processes are efficient and effective.
  • Coordinate sales leads with relevant group companies to determine the best approach.
  • Support the sales team by aligning factory production with project timelines.
  • Coach, motivate, mentor, and support the sales team.
  • Build a customer-centric, ethical, and high-performing sales culture.
  • Represent the company at expos and trade shows.
  • Manage monthly sales team commissions where applicable.
  • Regularly review and communicate pricing and discount structures to the estimator team.
