Job description

To recruit, maintain, and develop sales representatives and brokers, and set targets.

Develop and maintain sales and marketing plan

  • Develop an integrated sales & marketing plan
  • Implement and align marketing plan with regional plan and submit to management
  • Review and update strategic plan regularly
  • Compile reports on progress made on strategic plan
  • Communicate strategic plan to sales representatives

Perform recruitment and selection process for sales representatives

  • Advertise and market representative positions through presentations
  • Select applicants in accordance with FSCA requirements and implement assessment selection battery

Conduct training for sales representatives

  • Facilitate pre-course and post-course training
  • Conduct on-the-job assessment of representatives

Conduct coaching processes

  • Provide technical support and motivation to representatives
  • Coach representatives on improving their selling skills
  • Recognize performance through the performance management system

Conduct training for brokers

  • Ensure brokers are equipped with sufficient documentation (e.g., application forms)
  • Handle administrative queries on behalf of brokers
  • Check and advise on business methods of brokers
  • Update brokers regularly on products and services
  • Ensure brokers' software is up to date regarding products and services
  • Build professional relationships with brokers

Identify and develop new and current markets

  • Identify, penetrate, and develop new markets
  • Maintain contacts with key decision makers and industry resources
  • Retain and increase market share
  • Manage business retention
  • Conduct product presentations in the market

Maintain production targets and retain business

  • Ensure and monitor achievement of production targets
  • Maintain business retention

Comply with FAIS requirements

  • Supervise representatives rendering services under supervision
  • Submit supervision evidence to MSSI monthly
  • Mentor and train supervisees on product knowledge
  • Observe meetings between representatives and clients

Compliance

  • Handle complaints and track their status
  • Manage complaints referred for investigation and debarment hearings

Training and Awareness

  • Provide refresher and new product training
  • Maintain record of advice and complete application forms

Other responsibilities

  • Adhere to the code of conduct, TCF, and risk and audit requirements
  • Display company values and culture
  • Provide leadership and support to team members in achieving targets
