The Enterprise Solutions Architect requires client (external & internal) engagement to identify and understand business requirements.
The Enterprise Solutions Architect, together with internal digital and technology functions of the business, crafts solutions and presents a minimum viable product (MVP) or prototypes for client consideration.
These co-created solutions will be financially modeled and packaged together with leadership.
Works closely with sales and sales leadership teams.
This role provides oversight of solution design, technical architecture, security architecture, infrastructure architecture, database architecture and design, system and application design, development, system integration, and testing activities for industry-aligned value-added business solutions.
The Enterprise Solutions Architect catalogs, develops, coordinates, communicates, maintains, and enforces the overall Enterprise Architecture Principles, Models, and Standard Components used by the business to perform all information system-related activities.
All of the above functions are delivered for both clients/customers and Adec Innovations.
Experience developing and building models based on The Enterprise Framework or the Zachman / TOGAF Framework for Enterprise Architecture; Management (e.g. prioritization, trade-off analysis, psychology, etc.).
Understanding of appropriate technologies; Developing methods and techniques for modelling technologies from a business perspective; Influencing business strategy; Translating or mapping business strategy into business technology-transformable strategy; Understanding technology product and vendor strategies, products, and customer preferences; Understanding, modelling, and representing the organizations business requirements, as it relates to technology strategy; Communicating with business and technology leaders, both within and outside the company; Understanding the business needs for technology; Influencing the organization to accomplish technology needs through Enterprise architecture activities; Being viewed as the Business technology advisor to the organization; Building an effective Enterprise architecture organization; Understanding systems developers needs in parallel with Business needs; Demonstrated abilities to derive, define, and explicitly represent various artifacts within The Enterprise Framework or the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture; Understand the meanings and relationships between various models; Developing and maintaining project level and Business level model consistency and integration.
A minimum of 10 years of planning and analysis experience with clients/customers is expected. In addition to some systems background, the Enterprise Architect will possess a broad background in different business sectors, with in-depth experience and knowledge in at least one aspect of the business (for example: engineering, manufacturing, planning, etc.). This is necessary to allow the Enterprise Solutions Architect to dialog with business stakeholders and management, on their terms.
Finally, and key to this position, the Enterprise Architect should have demonstrated skills and actual examples of models built using The Enterprise Framework and the Enterprise Architecture Framework.
An Honours or Master's Degree in a related field is desirable.
Industry-recognized certifications in the Enterprise Framework or the Zachman / TOGAF Framework for Enterprise Architecture.
