Job Description
Your Role:

As a Sales Manager, you will lead the establishment of our sales office in Cape Town, Mantis Office. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Sales Strategy Implementation: Build upon the existing sales strategy, aligning it with the brand’s commercial goals and KPIs. Collaborate with revenue, marketing, and commercial teams to target the right customers and hotels.
  2. Account Management and Business Development: Manage centralized accounts, set performance goals for Mantis and individual hotels, negotiate contracts, and oversee rate structures. Maintain relationships across segments such as Leisure, MICE, Corporate, and Government.
  3. Communication, Internal & External: Facilitate communication between properties and the commercial team, ensuring relevant updates are shared.
  4. Performance Reporting: Analyze account performance, review hotel sales team results, track production from key accounts and markets, and ensure reporting aligns with USALI and Brand Standards.
  5. Systems: Manage sales tools like CVENT and ANAIS, supporting on-property sales teams, and act as the sales executive when on-site representatives are unavailable.
  6. Budget and Financial Management: Oversee the sales division budget, monitor expenditures, and optimize ROI for sales activities, including tradeshows.
  7. Travel & Client Engagement: Attend industry events, tradeshows, conduct customer meetings, host site visits, and FAM trips.
