A leading brand in the rental and logistics industry is looking for a Sales Manager to lead their external sales function in Cape Town. The role involves managing a high-performing sales team, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth while maintaining strong client relationships across the region.
Join our team as a Sales Manager and lead our external sales function in the Cape Town Hub and Port Elizabeth Depot. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategic growth, manage a high-performing sales team, and contribute directly to the success of a leading brand in the rental and logistics industry.
Role Purpose
To manage and grow revenue by leading a motivated sales team, ensuring effective territory coverage, quote conversion, and strong client relationships across the Cape Town Hub and PE Depot. You'll also contribute to developing and executing regional sales strategies while maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Set and track performance goals for the sales team
Identify and implement revenue growth strategies
Drive lead conversion and opportunity follow-through
Strengthen customer relationships and expand market reach
Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly
Uphold internal policies and ensure operational excellence
Coach and mentor the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture
Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12 (Matric)
BCom Sales & Marketing degree or IMM Diploma is advantageous
4–5 years of sales management experience in a corporate or semi-corporate environment
Proven track record of managing a successful sales team
General business management knowledge
Exposure to a trade desk environment and the rental / logistics sector is advantageous
