Job description

Your Role: As a Sales Manager, you'll spearhead the establishment of our sales location in Cape Town, Mantis Office. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Sales Strategy Implementation: Build on the progress of the Mantis sales strategy, aligning it with the overall brand’s commercial goals and KPIs. Collaborate with revenue, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure the right actions are taken to target the appropriate customers and hotels.
  2. Account Management and Business Development: Manage centralized accounts and set performance goals for Mantis and individual hotels. Negotiate and oversee contracting, ensuring appropriate rate structures are issued. Manage relationships across segments such as Leisure, MICE, Corporate, and Government.
  3. Communication, Internal & External: Facilitate communication between multiple properties and the commercial team. Ensure relevant updates are shared.
  4. Performance Reporting: Analyze key account performance, review hotel sales team results, and track production from accounts and source markets. Develop hotel teams and review their reporting to ensure alignment with USALI and Brand Standards.
  5. Systems: Serve as the custodian of sales tools like CVENT and ANAIS, supporting on-property sales teams. Act as the sales executive for hotels without an on-property sales representative.
  6. Budget and Financial Management: Manage the divisional sales budget, monitor and optimize expenditures, and ensure a strong ROI on sales activities, including tradeshow participation.
  7. Travel & Client Engagement: Attend industry events, tradeshows, and customer meetings. Host site visits or FAM trips.
