  • Conduct canvassing and cold calling to acquire new customers.
  • Maintain updated market share reports.

Job description

This job involves maintaining and growing market share within a designated area by managing relationships with supermarket chains and independent clients.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Extensive canvassing and cold calling to potential customers as per the "Account Allocation Chart".
  • Acquiring new franchisees and increasing market share, including opposition franchisees like Spar and OK Foods.
  • Replacing equipment older than five years.
  • Advising clients on and selling new value-adding products.
  • Planning and executing rollouts, meeting with clients, and targeting new franchise stores.
  • Negotiating pricing within set parameters.
  • Visiting 10-15 customers daily, approximately 60 per week.
  • Maintaining updated market share reports.
  • Selling equipment and consumables as per the budget.
  • Visiting customers Monday to Thursday and attending sales management meetings on Fridays.

Project Management

  • Ensuring effective service and installation for new clients according to the Installations Checklist.
  • Verifying correct invoicing and completion of the Checklist.
  • Obtaining confirmation from the Service Manager and customer that installations are completed satisfactorily.

Customer Relations

  • Maintaining good relations with clients through regular visits and calls.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction and addressing issues promptly.
  • Managing and resolving customer complaints effectively.

Reporting and Feedback

  • Meeting regularly with the Branch Manager to discuss results and sales metrics.
  • Providing written reports and updates on weekly activities, client status, and general comments.
  • Updating client lists and discussing strategies for new products and exhibitions.
  • Facilitating meetings between customers and international suppliers when needed.

Cost Management

  • Contributing to budget planning and management with inputs to the Branch Manager and Finance Department.
