Job description

Our client is looking for a results-oriented Sales Executive to drive business growth in the logistics and industrial fasteners & components sector, with a strong emphasis on understanding the full value supply chain. This role requires expertise in technical sales, logistics management, and relationship building to deliver tailored solutions for clients in industrial manufacturing and equipment supply.

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Technical qualifications (e.g., N3/N4 Electrical Light Current or equivalent) or hands-on experience in industrial components is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales, logistics, or supply chain management, ideally within the industrial fasteners & components sector.
  • Background in technical sales or logistics roles (e.g., procurement, material planning, or distribution) is a strong advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and proficiency with CRM/BRM systems for tracking sales and logistics activities
  • Analytical ability to assess supply chain data, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions
  • Ability to manage budgets, forecast sales, and mitigate supply chain risks effectively
  • Own car essential
  • Clear Criminal and credit record

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek out and engage new customer prospects in the industrial parts & components sector through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Present, promote, and sell logistics solutions and industrial components tailored to client needs.
  • Client relationship management
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of the full value supply chain—sourcing, procurement, inventory management, transportation, and delivery—to address customer requirements in the industrial components space
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to optimize material replenishment, ensure on-time delivery, and manage supply chain risks
  • Analyse market trends, supply chain challenges, and competitor activities in the logistics and industrial components sector to identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver presentations or demonstrations showcasing how our logistics and component solutions address client supply chain needs
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with clients, balancing profitability with supply chain efficiency and client budgets
  • Resolve customer complaints or logistics issues (e.g., delays, stock shortages) swiftly to maintain satisfaction and secure repeat business
