Job description

The focus of this role will be to achieve results by driving strong business development initiatives whilst being fully embraced in a supportive and team selling cultured environment.

Position Info:

Calling all New Business Development Executives who are looking to join a Top Market Leader – a Fortune 500 company specializing in Global Logistics.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / NQF4
  • 2 – 3 years of New Business Development experience within Logistics / Distribution / Supply Chain
  • Proven track record of Targets vs. Actual Achievements
  • Fully computer literate with experience in integrated information systems
  • Strong oral and written proficiency in English
  • Own a presentable, reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license

Key Performance Areas:

  • Manage an assigned territory with extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors
  • Timely data entry into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
  • Develop customer and branch relationships and collaborate with regional teams
  • Create value-added solutions for customer logistics needs, including diagrams and cost-benefit analyses
  • Support the transition of new accounts, including customer introductions, information transfer, and paperwork; assist with accounts receivable collection when needed
  • Participate in training to enhance selling skills and product knowledge
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Engage in local trade groups as directed by the District Sales Manager
  • Support additional assignments as required to meet company needs
