Description
Our client, an international distributor of Beauty & Personal Care products and a leader in their field, is looking to employ a results-driven and dynamic Sales Executive to lead the expansion of their business within the Southern African Market.
Requirements:
- A relevant bachelor’s degree will be advantageous.
- Previous sales experience in the African market is a non-negotiable requirement.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales to national chain retailers or supermarkets, specifically in the FMCG or beauty-related sectors.
- Experience must be recent, not older than one year.
- Extensive experience in securing sales of FMCG goods with top retail chains.
- Proven history of successfully closing deals and managing accounts with major retail chains, preferably within the last year.
- Deep understanding of African retail markets and consumer trends in the targeted regions.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Africa as needed (including South Africa).
- An established network of key contacts, including buyers from national retail chains.
- Ability to work independently, manage market expansion initiatives, and achieve sales targets.
Territory Management:
- Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the following regions:
- Milestone 1: South Africa and neighboring countries
- Milestone 2: East Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar
Duties:
- Business Development - Collaborate with the Director of Operations to identify and secure new business opportunities with national retailers across Africa.
- Lead the expansion and grow the company’s footprint within the Africa market by leveraging your established relationships with major national retailers and securing high-value deals within 4 to 6 months of joining the team.
- Market Expansion - Promote and sell products to key supermarkets and national chain stores throughout the region.
- Travel - Travel across Africa to build relationships, attend meetings, and close sales deals.
- Collaboration - Work with brokerage firms and local distributors to ensure market penetration.
- Territory Management - Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the Southern Africa, East Africa, and West Africa regions.
- Relationship Building - Build and maintain strong connections with key decision-makers at national chain retailers.
