Our client is a well-established company supplying gym equipment and accessories, with the aim to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. They are seeking a sales executive who is forward-thinking and enthusiastic and who will be able to drive revenue growth by promoting and selling gym equipment and fitness products to new and existing clients. This sales executive will be responsible for achieving sales targets, building long-term client relationships, and maintaining a professional image aligned with company values.
2. Key Responsibilities :
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify and engage potential clients through cold calling, referrals, walk-ins, inbound inquiries, and churn existing base.
- Present product offerings to prospective customers persuasively and informatively.
- Drive the full sales process: lead generation, pipeline management, quoting, negotiation, closing, and after-sales follow-up.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features, stock availability, and pricing.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Act as the primary contact for all customer matters related to the sales process.
- Address customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Reporting & Administration
- Submit regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and client feedback.
- Prepare for and attend scheduled sales meetings.
- Maintain accurate client records in CRM/database tools.
- Participate in and ensure alignment with operational and delivery teams, including accurate recording of delivery details and client requirements.
- Avoid commitments to delivery timelines without prior confirmation and coordination with the operations team.
- Respond promptly to operational updates and action items.
- Conduct follow-up calls with clients after delivery and installation to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and develop further leads.
- Resolve and follow up on client concerns.
3. Minimum Requirements :
- Education : Grade 12 minimum; diploma/degree in business or sales (advantageous).
- Experience : 5+ years in sales, preferably in retail or fitness industry.
- Skills : Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication, ability to meet targets under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & CRM tools.
- Ability to structure quotes that incorporate cross-sell and upsell activities while ensuring gross margins are maintained.
4. Working Conditions :
- Monday to Friday (08:00 - 17:00).
- Required to work 2 Saturdays per month, either in the office or at offsite events (currently suspended).
- Use of company pool vehicle for client meetings and site visits, subject to availability.
- If the pool vehicle system is discontinued, alternative travel arrangements with prior approval are expected.
- Use of company computer provided for work tasks.
- Responsible for own traffic fines.
