Job description

Job Title: Sales Costing Executive

Reference: PTA-CDW-1

Our client is looking for a Sales Costing Executive, located in Centurion.

Responsibilities:
  1. Preparing and Managing Sales Quotations: Generate accurate and timely sales quotations based on customer requirements, pricing guidelines, and sales team input.
  2. Analyze floor plans, technical drawings, and other documentation: Prepare cost materials and labour estimates.
  3. Maintaining Quotation Records: Keep detailed records of all quotations issued, including pricing, terms, and any special conditions. Ensure records are organized and easily accessible.
  4. Coordinating with Sales Team: Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, pricing strategies, and competitive factors. Provide support in preparing complex or high-value quotations.
  5. Responding to Sales Inquiries: Address customer inquiries regarding quotations, pricing, and terms in a timely and professional manner. Provide clarification and negotiate terms when necessary.
  6. Tracking and Analyzing Quotation Data: Monitor the effectiveness of quotations by tracking conversion rates, sales volume, and profitability. Use data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  7. Ensuring Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure that quotations are accurate, comply with company policies and pricing guidelines, and are aligned with contractual requirements.
  8. Coordinating with Other Departments: Work closely with finance, operations, and customer service to coordinate activities related to quotations, orders, and customer requirements.
  9. Updating Pricing and Product Information: Keep pricing and product information up to date in quotation systems and databases. Communicate changes to the sales team as needed.
  10. Providing Administrative Support: Assist the Commercial team with administrative tasks such as preparing reports and maintaining company databases.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience related to sales quotations.
Requirements:
  • BCom degree or similar qualification.
  • Experience as a Sales Costing Administrator or similar role.
  • Experience or exposure in finance is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and functions.
  • Familiarity with communication tools (Skype, Zoom).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, methods, materials, and regulations is an added advantage.
