Job description

JOB PURPOSE :

The role of Sales Executive is to secure new revenue for EPX by effectively identifying new opportunities, sales planning, establishing a healthy pipeline and management thereof, successful implementation and meeting set targets.

QUALIFICATION & MINIMUM REQUIRED JOB EXPERIENCE :
  • Matric - Compulsory
  • Logistics Qualification - Advantageous
  • Sales Qualifications - Advantageous
  • Previous industry experience - Advantageous
  • 3 Plus years' experience within a new business sales role
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting targets - Compulsory
COMPUTER LITERACY :

DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
  1. Strategise, plan and execute on developing a lead list through cold calling and/or scheduled appointments.
  2. Convert leads into qualified prospects.
  3. Identify customer needs and partner with EPX to meet those needs, presenting the value proposition effectively.
  4. Present compelling presentations to customers on the EPX solution.
  5. Ensure all sales activities are updated daily within the EPX CRM System.
  6. Monitor conversion ratio and identify areas of improvement within the sales cycle, e.g., lead generation, prospecting, needs analysis, solution building, and closing.
  7. Manage, monitor, and understand actual performance against set targets.
  8. Maintain a pipeline with sufficient qualified prospects to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  9. Implement new accounts effectively, ensuring customer induction and internal communication.
  10. Accurately forecast potential opportunities.
  11. Identify target industries/verticals fitting EPX's service profile.
  12. Monitor customer bad debt and claims history, addressing issues proactively.
  13. Manage customer service KPIs to uphold service standards.
  14. Identify problem areas and collaborate with internal teams for improvements.
  15. Record lost opportunities and reasons for loss.
  16. Understand competitors and EPX's value proposition in comparison.
  17. Manage and monitor forecasted versus actual spend to ensure revenue realization.
  18. Negotiate rates increases where applicable.
  19. Understand unprofitable accounts and develop action plans for correction.
  20. Inform management of market initiatives by competitors.
  21. Provide proof of monthly commissions earned.
