About Our Client

The company is a leading U.S. headquartered distributor of beauty and hair care products selling to major retailers such as Walmart. In South Africa, they distribute across the African continent.

Job Description

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the company's retail footprint in Africa. This role requires a strategic salesperson with a demonstrated ability to close high-value deals and expand retail distribution. Leverage existing relationships with retail buyers to drive direct sales into major supermarkets and chains. Negotiate and secure high-value deals with national retailers within the first 6 months. Work closely with distributors and partners to optimize supply chain and sales operations. Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term partnerships with key retail players. Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and sales forecasts to leadership. Travel across Africa to establish and strengthen relationships with retailers and distributors.

The Successful Applicant
  1. Minimum 5 years of sales experience with proven success in securing retail partnerships.
  2. Must have sold directly to retailers in Africa within the past year (Experience older than one year will not be considered).
  3. Strong existing contacts with buyers at major retailers across Africa.
  4. Experience in mass-market distribution, particularly within large chains and supermarkets.
  5. Ability to negotiate and close large deals with major retailers.
  6. Willingness to travel across Africa and South Africa.
  7. Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
