Job summary

A leading construction materials company is seeking a sales professional to develop strong relationships with clients in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, excellent communication skills, and technical knowledge of products. Responsibilities include identifying new opportunities, maintaining customer satisfaction, and coordinating logistics. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

  • Physically fit and healthy.
  • Matric, relevant tertiary qualification advantageous (Sales / Marketing / Civil Engineering).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the construction materials industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Ability to understand and convey technical information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Maintain regular contact with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and product information to customers.
  • Coordinate with the production and logistics teams for timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales and Business Development :

Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise :

  • Stay informed about the properties and benefits of ready-mix concrete products
  • Understand and communicate the technical specifications and applications of various concrete mixes
  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate product for their needs

Coordination and Logistics :

  • Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of orders
  • Monitor and track orders to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Resolve any issues related to product delivery and quality

Reporting and Documentation :

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and order details
  • Regularly update CRM system
  • Track and analyse sales performance against targets and objectives
