Job description

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for FMCG and a strong understanding of the retail landscape? A leading global brand in the premium consumer goods sector is looking for a Sales Executive to join their team in Gauteng .

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world-renowned company that prides itself on quality, innovation, and performance. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving revenue, building key customer relationships, executing in-store excellence, and delivering results across top national retailers.

Key Responsibilities :

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Plan and execute an effective weekly call cycle (8+ quality calls per day)

Conduct pre-call preparation, store visits, and ensure shelf health and compliance

Place orders, manage stock rotation, update pricing and merchandising

Build strong in-store relationships with Store and Regional Managers

Negotiate displays, promotions, and increased shelf space

Review promotional performance using IRI and internal sales tools

Supervise and support merchandisers; report store performance and compliance

Provide regular sales reports, insights, and action plans for underperforming areas

Requirements :

Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in FMCG field sales

Experience managing or calling on major retail accounts (Woolworths, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Dischem, Clicks, Spar, Makro)

Strong project management, planning, and negotiation skills

Highly motivated, confident, and target-driven

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Proficient in sales technology, reporting, and data-driven sales planning

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Relevant diploma or degree advantageous
