LEADERSHIP AND PLANNING
- Properly plan all sales activity for allocated strategic accounts (get involved).
- Provide customers with a point of contact scenario.
- Apply the retail pricing framework in a sensible and profitable manner.
- Ensure efficient liaison meetings take place at Dealer level.
- Coordinate after-sales activities for allocated strategic accounts.
- Provide a transport consultancy service to demonstrate total operating costs.
- Manage positive supplier relationships.
- Contribute to sales CSM results, grow customer satisfaction and relationships.
- Provide a sales engineering service to ensure correct vehicle selection.
- Apply strict measures to the company’s SHE policy at all times.
- Ensure Best Practices are always applied, including proper housekeeping in and around the facility.
- Achieve or exceed the agreed annual targets (unit sales, market share, and gross profit).
- Only utilize suppliers as per the approved FAW Southern Africa after-market panel to ensure vehicle warranty remains intact for the customer.
KEY DRIVERS
ACCURATE UNDERSTANDING OF THE DEAL PROCESS, INCLUDING:
- Deal closure.
- Vehicle selection and load body fitment/procurement.
- Vehicle delivery and handover.
- Vehicle payment and deal file closure.
- Strict control over vehicle deliveries and handovers.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS
- Manage and drive high levels of customer interaction, keeping the customer updated on the transaction.
- Follow-up with prospective customers at least once a week via phone or email.
- Visit prospective customers at least twice a month.
- Contact current customers at least once a month via phone, with a follow-up visit.
CUSTOMER RETENTION AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
- Maintain synchronization of your database with the company database, using Excel or company guidelines, and update the Sales Manager and Sales Administrator at least once a month.
- Care for and grow your customer database by following up and informing customers of market changes and events.
MONITORING AND ADMINISTRATION
- Ensure timely invoicing of all vehicles and support the process.
- Keep vehicle payment debtors within terms to ensure timely commission payouts.
- Ensure all cash sale transactions are paid in full.
- Take corrective action on out-of-line items.
CUSTOMER CARE
- Maintain high levels of customer interaction.
- Provide relevant and correct feedback to customers.
- Promote the company as a trustworthy and reliable brand.
TRANSOLVE / HTM (ELECTRONIC SELLING TOOLS)
- Prepare and present customer quotations with electronic mass distribution drawings (side view).
- Include route simulations and other relevant information in corporate quotations for complete customer understanding.
- Contribute sensibly to sales and profitability goals.
Requirements
- Matric or higher qualification.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the trucking/commercial industry.
- Code 14 Licence advantageous.
- Knowledge of the road traffic act.
