The Sales Executive acts as the primary contact for acquiring new clients, driving revenue through outbound prospecting, and closing new business deals. This role is crucial to PayU’s expansion in South Africa, focusing on generating leads, educating clients on our payment solutions, and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities & Key Activities:
  • Identify and prospect potential clients in eCommerce and fintech sectors to generate new business opportunities.
  • Initiate contact with prospects via calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Educate prospects about PayU’s products and their benefits.
  • Qualify leads and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Present PayU’s value proposition and negotiate terms with clients.
  • Gather market feedback to improve sales strategies.
  • Maintain records of sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate with Account Management for smooth client onboarding.
What we are looking for:
  • Knowledge of Payments, Banking, and Financial domains.
  • Over 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in partnership-driven sales.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across time zones.
  • Skills in budget management, forecasting, pricing, and profitability review.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external teams.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
