Job Description: Used Trucks Sales Executive

What you will do

Main purpose: Drive retail sales of pre-owned commercial vehicles, focusing on developing new customer bases and exploring international/export opportunities. This role is exclusively end-user (retail) transactions, excluding dealer-to-dealer sales. You will manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to securing payments and ensuring compliance.

Reporting: This position reports to the Used Sales Director.

Objectives:

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities to drive retail used truck sales.
  • Develop a new customer base within defined regions.
  • Explore export market opportunities.
  • Promote internal products like Financial Products and Service Contracts.
  • Understand product specifications to meet customer needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to foster brand loyalty.
  • Maintain knowledge of multiple brands.
  • Build and sustain long-term customer relationships.
  • Assist customers through the purchase process, including vehicle selection, inspection, test drives, and financing.
  • Ensure sales documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Coordinate vehicle deliveries and post-sale support.
  • Secure full payment before delivery.
  • Perform KYC, credit, and compliance checks for new customers.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for smooth transactions.
  • Generate regular reports on pipeline, performance, and feedback.

Key exclusions:

• No dealer-to-dealer sales. Focus on end-user/retail and export customers.
• Extensive travel required; role is not office-bound.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in vehicle/used truck sales, preferably retail-focused.
  • Knowledge of local and international compliance requirements.
  • Code EC (14).
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Formal qualification in sales and marketing (essential).
  • Technical diploma (desirable).

  • Regular travel for customer visits; role is field-based.
  • Performance-driven with sales targets.
  • Effective negotiation and deal-closing skills.
