Purpose Of The Job
- The Sales Executive will be responsible for merchandising, marketing, sales, and promotions for Nationals & Independents.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and the company.
- Resolving key client issues and complaints.
- Developing a complete understanding of key account needs.
- Anticipating key account changes and improvements.
- Managing communications between key clients and internal teams.
- Managing the account team assigned to each client.
- Strategic planning to improve client results.
- Collaborating with the sales team to maximize profit through up-selling or cross-selling.
- Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives.
- Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines.
- Analyzing client data to enhance customer relationship management.
- Developing field marketing plans to improve sales and profitability.
- Recommending innovative marketing approaches for revenue growth.
- Monitoring and managing expenditures within the allocated budget.
- Recommending marketing techniques based on changing business demands.
- Acting as the primary contact for questions regarding market-related activities.
- Managing company assets (retail stands) to meet company standards, including corporate identity.
- Planning training for Nationals & Independents.
- Ensuring store adherence to merchandising standards.
- Supervising product display and shelving as per store floor plans.
- Ensuring defective or old products are removed and new products are properly displayed.
- Performing store inspections for repairs, replacements, or installations.
- Interacting with store staff about upcoming projects and timelines.
- Educating staff on business updates and action plans.
- Facilitating cross-department communication, including supply chain and trade marketing.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric or Sales Diploma.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to establish solid relationships with all accounts.
- Excellent team player.
- At least 3 years of field sales experience; experience in MDA industry is an advantage.
- Background in Sales, Retail, or Business Development roles.
