A large gearbox manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Engineer in KZN.

Requirements:

  1. More than 5 years' experience in sales within South Africa.
  2. Mechanical or technical qualification.
  3. Proven sales track record.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic business development of sales opportunities within South Africa in industries such as cement, sugar, oil and gas, power, coal, ports & harbours, steel and metals, general industry, and mining and minerals.
  2. Achieving sales targets and KPIs.
  3. Managing and growing existing business through regular customer visits and networking, aligned with strategic growth plans.
  4. Maintaining a healthy sales/bid pipeline to meet order intake targets.
  5. Active pipeline management according to set rules.
  6. Maintaining current CRM account details, ensuring dormant accounts are closed and duplicates merged.
