Job summary

A leading company in Johannesburg seeks a high-performing Sales Engineer/Representative to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition. Qualifications

  • 3 years of coatings sales experience (not to retail).
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience in sales and marketing.
  • Experience in the construction industry will be an advantage.

Job description

A strong individual is needed in the sales department to ensure that revenue growth and customer acquisition targets are met, by generating new business, maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing customers.

Main Responsibilities :

The ideal candidate will be a high performing Sales Engineer / representative dealing with varied industries and different channels to market and to :

Meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets,

Meet individual and branch sales targets,

Source new business / clients,

Maintain client relationships,

Ensure proper sales administration.

Desired Qualifications, Experience and Skill :

Qualifications :

N-Dip or Bachelor's degree in the sales and marketing field

Mechanical qualification will be an advantage

Experience :

3 years coatings sales experience (not to retail)

Minimum 3 years sales experience in sales and marketing especially in the selling of services

Experience in the construction industry will be an advantage

Preparing quotes and proposals

Planning and pricing projects will be an advantage (estimation)

Contracts and tenders will be an advantage

Skills :

Excellent planning skills

Excellent communication and report writing skills

Strong business acumen

Analytical skills with problem-solving attitude

Be able to work under pressure

Excellent negotiation and commercial skills

Proficient in Excel, Word, MS Projects and PowerPoint (as a minimum)

Ability to read engineering drawings

Ability to do physical measurements and do required calculation.
