Our client, a power solutions company with offices in Somerset West and Johannesburg, is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer / Consultant to join their dynamic team in their Johannesburg or Somerset West Office .

The ideal candidate is someone that is confident and willing to deal with problems or new tasks and that can get things done. They are looking for a go-getter kind of person who is open to traveling a lot.

Responsibilities :

• Actively seek out, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities.
• Ensure legal and contractual compliance.
• Ensure financial viability and operational deliveries are mapped out and met.
• Build relationships, build the companies brand, and ensure client requirements are addressed when developing new business opportunities.
• Ensure new business ventures align with and compliment the great growth strategy.

Required skills and qualifications :

• Bachelor of commerce degree (or equivalent) or Engineering degree or Sales qualifications.
• Successful track record in business development.
• Knowledge of the power / solar industry / generators / micro grids sectors.
• Ability to find own leads to turn into new clients.
• Ability to run with new clients who have already signed.

Salary : R35 000 to R60 000 (depending on experience) plus commission.

Area : Johannesburg (Rosebank and Roodepoort) or Somerset West.

Years Experience : 3 to 6 years plus sales experience, ideally in the renewable energy engineering sectors.
