Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by acquiring profitable new business across our full range of products in various markets. You will also maintain and service our current regional customer base.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Sales Growth:Prospecting for new clients to meet set sales targets.
  2. Account Management:Stewarding current accounts and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Market Presence:Enhancing Air Products’ market presence through innovative marketing initiatives.
  4. Compliance:Adhering to company SHERQ procedures and relevant legislation.
  5. Administration:Carrying out sales administrative duties and general ad hoc tasks.
  6. Development:Focusing on business and personal development within the sales environment.
Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  1. Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
  2. Recognised Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Sales & Marketing.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the industrial, technical, or gas-related industry.
  4. Knowledge of Industrial and Specialty Gases (advantageous).
  5. A proven track record in high-level negotiations and building strong customer relationships.
  6. A target-driven and customer-centric mindset.
  7. A valid unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence with reliable transport.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office and general computer literacy.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Strong attention to detail and report writing abilities.
  11. Willingness to travel as required.
