Role Summary:
We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Sales Engineer to drive business growth in the Mpumalanga region, with a focus on the industrial sector. The successful candidate will be based at the Timken office in Pomona, Kempton Park, and must be willing to travel regularly to the Mpumalanga region to serve and support customers. Strong technical abilities and a proven track record in sales—particularly within the Industrial Distribution sector—are essential, along with the ability to build lasting customer relationships and identify opportunities for Timken’s innovative product solutions

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and rotating equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical mechanical drawings and specifications.
Proficient in industrial product application and troubleshooting.
CRM software proficiency (e.g., Salesforce).
Familiarity with pricing models, sales forecasting, and reporting tools.
Ability to conduct technical presentations and product demos.
Good command of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
Problem-solving mindset with customer-first thinking.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
