Job description

To deliver business growth and achieve annual revenue, through effective management of time and in line with the company’s vision and strategy. This will involve developing revenue from sales of generators and lighting towers to customers, together with renting generators of between 125kVA-1,2750kVA. This role is predominately focused on driving sales in the mining, construction, manufacturing, property, industrial and retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identification of key Companies and Prospects in target sectors.
  • Development of new Prospects : Understanding the Prospect’s current situation, historical information, purchase drivers and competitive landscape. Introducing the brand. Educating the Prospect re the HSA technical benefits, pricing points and key differentiators – warranty terms, OEM parts, subsidiary pricing.
  • Daily sales and rental of the products and services in the region.
  • Cold calling, scheduling and meeting clients on a daily basis.
  • Qualifying, quoting and securing the sales of products and services.
  • Servicing of existing customers to drive account growth and maintaining a good relationship at all levels.
  • Lead generation from effective prospecting.
  • Providing weekly feedback on sales activities to management.
  • Effective management of individuals time to ensure adequate coverage of key sectors and geographies.
  • Distributor and reseller development if and when required.
  • Effective use of RED system and CRM.
  • Clear proposals and offers for customers.
  • Securing orders acceptable to terms and conditions.
  • Driving after-sales and service contracts wherever possible.
  • Complete tenders where required.
  • Gathering competitor information and assisting the SM and BDD in compiling accurate competitor analysis.
  • Key account management and building long lasting client relationships.
  • Assist with the annual marketing plan and hands on involvement with events where applicable.
  • Exceed annual sales performance targets.

Person Specification

  • Ability to travel regularly in SA and across the region.
  • Preferably degree qualified from a reputable tertiary institution either in electrical or mechanical.
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Hands on person with a ‘never say die’ attitude who is prepared to go the extra mile to ensure a client is satisfied.
  • Strong focus on sales and service.
  • Ability to be highly mobile, work long hours, see that the job is done.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work on their own with little supervision
