Reporting to: Sales Development Manager

Management level of role: This is not a management role

Working environment & travel: Exceptionally busy, team-orientated environment. Drivers license and own transport is essential.

Hybrid Role.

Working hours: 08h30 to 17h00(Flexible with core hours of 08h30- 16h30)

Working with Account Executives and cross-functional teams, you will build and prioritise target account lists within your defined territory, prospect new business opportunities, qualify their goals and pain-points and identify how our solution can help them.

Key deliverables

  • Generate and seek out new business in targeted industries and accounts through cold-calling, email prospecting and referrals.
  • Mapping a customer organization to identify influencers and decision makers.
  • Actively increase your industry knowledge to educate and create awareness within the customer environment.
  • Identify account specific pain points in order to showcase the offerings of our solutions.
  • Utilise strategic, proven sales methodologies to ensure setting of appointments.
  • Ensure that the CRM system (Salesforce) is accurately updated with all necessary information.
  • Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge and be able to hook for a meeting using the unique benefits of the solution.

Skills, knowledge & abilities

  • Proven ability to prospect through companies to identify the correct individuals.
  • Proven ability to outreach (cold-call, email, etc.) and book quality meetings for the Business Development Managers.
  • Proven capability of using CRM tools such as Salesforce and cadence tools like Outreach is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated track-record in over-achieving challenging targets.
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Target-driven, dynamic, and confident, with a proven track record
  • Ability to initiate conversations with senior personnel
  • Ability to ask questions that demonstrate understanding

Education & qualifications

  • Matric certificate
  • Related Degree
  • Other qualifications desirable

Details of experience

  • At least 2 years in a similar role
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Must be able to speak at least 3 of the official South African languages, i.e. English, Xhosa, Zulu, Sotho, Tswana etc
