Overview:
At Inspired Testing, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a pivotal role in accelerating growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-value prospects in the software testing and quality engineering space. This role demands a strategic mindset, industry insight, and the ability to communicate testing solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
As a member of the commercial team, you’ll help shape outreach strategies and contribute directly to Inspired Testing’s mission of delivering exceptional digital quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Lead Generation
- Identify and research target accounts across sectors such as financial services, retail, healthcare and telecom within the UK and Europe.
- Use multi-channel outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone) to engage decision-makers in QA, DevOps and IT leadership roles.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to optimize campaign performance and leverage inbound interest from webinars, white papers, and industry events.
2. Advanced Outreach & Engagement
- Craft compelling messaging that speaks to the value of Inspired Testing’s services—such as test automation, performance testing, and AI-driven QA.
- Book meetings with senior stakeholders in prospective companies to uncover challenges in software delivery, testing bottlenecks, and quality assurance gaps.
- Position Inspired Testing as a partner in accelerating release cycles and improving digital resilience.
3. High-Precision Qualification
- Understand client environments (e.g. Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines) to tailor qualification criteria.
- Ensure high-potential leads are passed to Sales Directors, improving conversion and deal velocity.
4. Pipeline Ownership & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records and track engagement metrics including specific KPIs across all outreach campaigns.
- Analyse pipeline health and provide feedback on trends, blockers and opportunities.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales Directors, Solution Architects, and Delivery Managers to align messaging and targeting.
- Share market intelligence and prospect feedback to inform service positioning and go-to-market strategies.
6. Thought Leadership & Continuous Learning
- Stay informed on software testing trends, including AI in QA, low-code automation, and regulatory testing requirements.
- Contribute to the refinement of SDR playbooks, outreach templates, and enablement resources.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential
- 2+ years of SDR or B2B sales experience in software services, SaaS, or IT consulting.
- Proven success in generating pipeline within enterprise or mid-market accounts.
- Excellent communication and consultative selling skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired
- Understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g. SharpSpring, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
