The Sales Development Representative role is responsible for building client relationships and increasing revenue within the organization.

You will be the primary commercial contact for potential clients and are expected to retain their business and build strong relationships.

They need someone with grit, energy, and persuasion skills to pick up the phone, get past the gatekeeper, and secure meetings.

This role is not about playing it safe or waiting for inbound leads to "nurture themselves."

Direct Reporting Line: General Manager

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3 years of proven success in a sales or account management role
  • SaaS sales experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of B-BBEE legislation
  • Driver's license and own reliable transport

Key Duties & Deliverables of the Role:

  • Make calls to decision-makers and secure meetings
  • Cold calling to generate meeting bookings
  • Build and manage your own prospecting pipeline
  • Convert warm leads into confirmed meetings
  • Keep track of all interactions and sales activity in the CRM
  • Collaborate with marketing to align messaging and support activities
  • Stay informed on company products, B-BBEE changes, and new features
  • Manage calendars and administrative follow-ups for meetings
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records in the CRM
  • Participate in tenders, RFIs, and RFPs as required
  • Stay updated on B-BBEE legislative changes
  • Respond to and follow up on all sales inquiries
  • Provide regular feedback on sales activities
  • Follow up on debtors when necessary
  • Generate new business sales
  • Serve as the point of contact for assigned clients and prospects
  • Ensure clients receive documentation promptly
  • Identify opportunities to expand business with existing clients
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure consistent service
  • Collaborate with sales team to reach prospective clients
  • Manage multiple prospects and meet deadlines
