Job description

We are looking for a well-presented, ambitious, and energetic sales executive, with at least:

In a nutshell:

  • Joburg based
  • Willingness to research leads and do cold calling
  • Nurse existing clients and conduct office visits
  • Preferably brings a network of existing inbound agents
  • Great earning potential of up to R36k per month, with a basic of R18k.
  • 2 years in the tourism trade, preferably specializing in the inbound sector, to join our ever-growing and exciting young hospitality chain.
  • This well-presented, articulate positive disposition should be excited at the challenge of building on the sales achievements so far and making a real mark on the company's enormous potential.

Key aspects of this role:

  1. Display creativity in sourcing leads.
  2. Creativity in opening new markets.
  3. Tenacity to ensure no stone is left unturned.
  4. Visiting offices.
  5. Presenting product knowledge presentations is a major component in the sales function.
  6. Well organized and knowing the products inside and out.
  7. Managing sales leads is critical, so demonstrable Excel experience primarily for record keeping and mining reports generated by the Central Res system is essential. Scrutinize reports for repeat visits, long stay, and similar analysis.
  8. Enjoys travelling and is able to immerse themselves in the microclimate of each property, building up contacts and relationships with each property manager.
  9. The primary task is to create a comprehensive database of potential clients, such as Inbound Tour Operators, Destination Management Companies, Event Organisers, etc., and ensure they receive in-person product training.
  10. Secondary tasks include providing a report on the condition of branding on site: state of banners, brochure numbers, external branding opportunities, and business feedback, e.g., developing the F&B element for local industry/leisure.

Reports to Brand Manager

Own car preferable.

Remuneration:

Basic Salary R18 000/m, room for growth to develop regional sales teams as the brand expands nationwide.

Basic R18k, 2% of gross sales if sales plan targets are achieved.

This allows the exec to potentially earn double their basic.

Sales Incentive: Generous Sales Incentive scheme with the potential of doubling the basic on a monthly basis.
