Job Purpose

Inbound or outbound policy sales, based on leads and campaigns. Initiate the customer relationship and meet various KPIs. Connect with the customer, conduct needs analysis, and propose customer solutions. Requires solid knowledge of products, their characteristics, and the market, with a focus on growing the brand.

Responsibilities

  1. Customer Relationships Development: Make calls to allocated customers to develop new relationships or serve as a first point of contact.
  2. Customer Needs Clarification: Interview customers following a complex sales script to clarify requirements and make detailed notes.
  3. Set Objectives for Sales Calls: Use standard materials to present to customers, ask relevant questions, and evaluate interest to identify further needs.
  4. Sell Customer Propositions: Identify products that meet customer needs, explain benefits, and influence purchase decisions within company policies.
  5. Operational Compliance: Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory codes relevant to the role.
  6. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data: Schedule callbacks, document interactions, and maintain quality data for customer retention and business development.
  7. Performance Management: Prioritize tasks to meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards, utilizing performance systems to improve.
  8. Personal Capability Building: Stay updated on policies and regulations through online training and assessments.
  9. Sales Opportunities Creation: Identify potential new customers through referrals and recommendations.

Education

  • Grade 12/SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)
  • FAIS and RE5 qualification (Essential)
  • Class of Business – product knowledge (Essential)

Experience

  • 2-3 years telephonic sales experience (Essential)
  • Experience in Financial Services Industry (Advantageous)
