Job Title: Sales Consultant - Speciality Gas

Job Description
  • This position is responsible for the sales and performance of specialty gases and equipment, including gross profit margins (GPM) and debtor days outstanding (DSO), within the designated sales region, while providing excellent customer service to all Air Liquide specialty gas customers.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling through regular contact, including face-to-face visits, and monitor customer needs.
  • Recognize potential with other divisions or specialty gas users within current accounts.
  • Follow up on and resolve customer queries and complaints through effective interdepartmental communication to ensure timely resolution.
  • Consistently prospect through cold calling, customer referrals, and networking to secure appointments with relevant stakeholders.
  • Arrange and conduct meetings with potential customers to assess needs, create value, and present solutions.
  • Communicate and negotiate price increases effectively and promptly with customers.
  • Perform cylinder audits and record near misses.
  • Report on competitor activities and offers.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing and contracts to ensure growth and profitability.
  • Prepare quotes promptly and build a network with potential large users such as refineries and chemical plants.
Education
  • Degree or diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Sales & Marketing, or Engineering.
Experience
  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least 3 years of valid sales experience in the gas industry.
  • Minimum 1 year of strategic prospecting through cold calling, referrals, and networking.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a consultative and diagnostic sales process within a B2B environment with long sales cycles.
