Job summary

A leading company in waste management in Gqeberha is seeking a driven Sales Consultant to enhance sales and manage client relationships. The ideal candidate should have a Senior Certificate and ideally a tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing. Passion for sustainability is crucial. The role involves cold calling, preparing proposals, and representing the company effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role is advantageous.
  • Valid Code EB driver’s license is essential.

Overview

Our client, a leader in waste management across South Africa, is dedicated to providing sustainable solutions for every type of waste stream. With services ranging from hazardous waste and liquid treatment to food waste recycling and composting. They are currently looking for a Sales Consultant to join their dynamic team at the Port Elizabeth branch.

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth and meet monthly targets through cold calling and prospecting new clients.
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships through regular service visits and communication.
  • Prepare and submit quotations and proposals in line with company pricing guidelines.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for client service issues and overdue payments.
  • Liaise with disposal sites, fleet controllers, admin, and sales teams.
  • Collect waste samples and arrange analysis in coordination with disposal facilities.
  • Monitor and report on client complaints, service feedback, and market intelligence.
  • Compile and submit monthly reports and service-related statistics for key clients.
  • Keep clients updated with the latest company information and service offerings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Senior Certificate (Matric)
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales and / or Marketing preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid Code EB driver’s license is essential
