Sales Consultant Port Elizabeth

Purpose of Position :

Complement Recruitment is recruiting for a Sales Consultant based in Port Elizabeth, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. You will support retail stores daily, handle queries and complaints from stores and customers, and conduct hands-on training and knowledge sharing with sales staff in group and independent stores. The goal is to drive sales growth by expanding our current customer base.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, and Skills:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
  • Proven experience in a retail sales environment
  • Knowledge of the adhesive industry or powder-based products is an advantage
  • Valid driving license
  • Willingness to travel extensively to retail stores
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive attitude with goal-oriented mindset
  • Willing to work overtime when needed
  • Honest and reliable
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure

Duties:

  • Manage relationships with key customers
  • Expand the customer base beyond group stores
  • Interact daily with current customers
  • Conduct market analysis and gather competitor information
  • Prepare weekly and monthly feedback reports
  • Provide hands-on training to sales personnel
  • Offer technical support to retail stores, advising on product suitability and applications
  • Upsell products and enhance sales baskets
  • Address customer complaints and perform root cause analysis
  • Report analysis findings to the quality team
  • Maintain good relationships with internal teams
  • Present a professional appearance at all times
