Sales Consultant (Packaging) position available in Cape Town.

Our national client, a leader in adhesive, strapping, and wrapping solutions, is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to expand their footprint across the manufacturing and packaging industries.

Requirements:

  • Matric,
  • Minimum, two years’ experience in manufacturing / process environment.
  • Experience with technical products and or have mechanical exposure.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Must be a good verbal communicator with relevant key points
  • Experience in the managing of specific contracts and projects including the installation of the specific equipment sold as well as operator training.
  • Strong planning skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks/workload
  • Be able to take control (inception to analysis) of product/process trials

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and secure new business opportunities by actively identifying potential clients and engaging with target markets
  • Conduct operational assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging the latest available technologies
  • Develop and nurture existing client relationships through strategic cross-selling and upselling, ensuring optimal product and service alignment
  • Prepare detailed proposals and competitive quotations tailored to customer needs and project requirements
  • Lead the negotiation of service level agreements (SLAs) to establish clear expectations and long-term partnerships
  • Deliver both pre-sales and post-sales support, ensuring smooth onboarding and sustained customer satisfaction
  • Offer expert product guidance and education, positioning the company as a trusted advisor in the industry
  • Maintain a well-structured and current sales pipeline in line with internal CRM procedures and reporting standards
  • Provide comprehensive and timely sales updates during weekly one-on-one sessions with the Sales Manager, using the Weekly Call Planner
  • Coordinate regularly with the workshop to monitor and manage customer tool repair status and service timelines
  • Oversee product pricing strategies, ensuring clients are informed of any pricing changes or adjustments
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets, contributing to overall team and company growth goals
