Job description

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced sales professional to sell impactful, high-demand logistical services in a leading national company known for its innovative supply chain and transport solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. BA Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or any related field.
  2. Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 5 years experience in a sales or business development role.
  3. Excellent communication skills, including active listening, verbal, and written communication.
  4. Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  5. Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential customers, demonstrating effective networking and relationship-building skills.
  6. Results-driven mindset, with a sense of urgency and ability to work independently to meet sales targets.
  7. Ability to present / articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  9. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

CAPABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

  1. Conduct market research and identify potential customer segments, industries, and geographic areas for business development.
  2. Actively prospect and generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and social media.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with potential customers, nurture leads throughout the sales process, and manage the sales pipeline.
  4. Conduct sales presentations to potential customers, showcasing the value and benefits of services.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns to drive business growth.
  6. Prepare sales proposals and negotiate pricing as well as contract terms with potential customers.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  8. Achieve / exceed sales targets and performance metrics, providing regular reports and updates to sales management.
  9. Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance sales skills and knowledge.

The proposed salary for the role is R15k - R25k per month plus a commission scheme, but the option remains with the client to offer any market related salary considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
