Job description

The main purpose of the job is to maintain and grow the Rectron client base through promoting and selling the full Rectron product range.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with allocated dealer base that is assigned.
  2. Grow this database on a monthly basis in line with target given.
  3. Achieve GP target on set Database.
  4. Achieve target spend across customer breadth given.
  5. Assist all customers with queries, quotes, and orders.
  6. Manage dealer base to ensure customers are up to date with specials and promotions.
  7. Inform the database of new content uploaded on the reseller portal where relevant.
  8. Build good relationships with your clients.
  9. Escalate problematic issues to the Sales or Product Managers timeously.
  10. Sell key components as required by management or PM.
  11. Complete all allocated Product training as necessary.
  12. Send all orders timeously through to order processing.
  13. Manage Database of Credit availability and highlight problems to the accounts department.
  14. Assist with other job-related duties as and when required.
  15. General admin and upkeep of database.
  16. General update and maintenance of all admin and filing.
  17. Represent Rectron at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
  18. Attend product training programmes and study and know the relevant product range.
  19. Attend product-related and sales events when requested.

Education / Qualification

Matric or higher education.

Skills & Competencies

  1. Strong customer relationships.
  2. Good communication & Listening Skills.
  3. Telephone Etiquette.
  4. Motivated by additional sales.
  5. Ability to work under pressure.
  6. Well disciplined individual.

Experience

Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in the IT sales environment or Distribution environment. Exceptional customer service experience. Computer Literate.

Accountabilities

  1. Full ownership and accountability for Sales and Gross Profit plans for the new business within Rectron for the financial year.
  2. Meet new customer targets.
  3. Develop and implement an aggressive new business strategy that will be an integral part of the company strategic plan.
  4. Align all new business resources touching customers to ensure consistent engagement and achievement of the agreed sales goals (this includes Revenue, GP, Margin Contribution, Customer breadth, and Product Ranging).
  5. Hold regular meetings with the Managing Director / Sales Management Team to review Performance, communicate, and organize training programs.
  6. Provide various management information reports, competitive analysis, and market intelligence on sales activities.
  7. You will be measured on Revenue and stock holding as well as GP percentage and it is imperative that you manage this and make sure that it is communicated to all incumbent staff.
  8. Propose an overall budget, in conjunction with the executive team, to ensure success.
