About The Sales Consultant Role

We are looking for a Sales Support Consultant to join our Sustainable Technology Sales Team based in Linbro Park, Gauteng. This position plays a key role in supporting our Senior Sales Consultant in driving growth and promoting the sale of Rubicon products.

This is a hands-on support role that involves managing the administrative and operational side of the sales process, offering internal sales assistance, and supporting the senior sales function through customer engagement, including attending site visits when necessary to help ease the senior consultant’s workload.


Sales Support Consultant Responsibilities

  1. Fulfill support functions to sales consultant and their duties
  2. Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking with clients to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs both electronically and via telephonic communication
  3. Prepare Quotes, Sales Orders, and Requisitions. Follow up on quotes, sales orders, and backorder reports
  4. Maintain awareness of pertinent client information, payment performance; communicate all client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate departments as required
  5. Schedule regular calls to customers
  6. Develop profitable and sustainable sales growth through engagement with current and potential customers within the assigned sales region
  7. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  8. Close and grow sales through professional communication and interaction with current and potential customers and provide exemplary customer service throughout the sales cycle
  9. Establish and maintain productive, long-term professional relationships with decision-makers at customer organizations and create action plans for follow-up; Key accounts could require monthly / weekly follow-ups
  10. Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively

Role Requirements Are

  1. Matric/NQF4 equivalent essential
  2. Proven track record of at least 2-3 yrs as a Sales Support Consultant
  3. Engineering technical sales support background an advantage
  4. Computer literate
  5. Effective written and verbal communication skills
  6. Presentable and professional
  7. Driver's Licence advantageous
  8. Time management skills / flexibility
  9. Multitasking and ability to work independently
  10. Driver's Licence and own vehicle required
