Summary Role
To manage PERI business (customer, projects, turnover, discount) within a defined area or on a specified project and to maintain and build new customer trading relationships.
To grow PERI market share within your geographical area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that customers are dealt with professionally and efficiently in the yard, applying the PERI Sales Way process to identify new and manage existing customer portfolios.
- Retain customers and secure relationships with key decision-makers to achieve key supplier/business partner status: Acquire-Extend-Retain.
- Analyze geographical sectors within your region, understand clients' projects, and acquire new clients by demonstrating knowledge of PERI products and their compliant use.
- Acquire and track detailed pipelines of all available projects within your region to maximize growth potential.
- Close deals effectively by communicating payment terms clearly, evaluating customer creditworthiness with managerial and finance support.
- Provide customers with relevant information and arrange site and technical training through the Technical Training Manager.
- Meet and exceed financial targets by managing all related problems with clients.
- Accurately forecast rental and sales figures, updating the CRM system daily to support business decisions.
- Measure profitability by customer and plan time accordingly.
- Analyze drawings, develop preliminary formwork and shoring solutions using PERI products, and collaborate with internal teams for project development.
- Create quotes based on quantity lists using PERI Centrio, work with estimators and managers to submit tenders, and follow up to win business.
- Manage projects from client requests to material return and invoice payment.
- Take responsibility for site stripping in case of unresolved non-payment issues, providing accurate information to operations.
- Continuously improve industry, product, and competitor knowledge.
- Regularly update CRM with new project information.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
- Matric/Grade 12 qualification
- Training in Selling Skills
- Experience in selling within the Construction Industry
- Good experience with Formwork and scaffolding solutions
- Drive and ambition
- Good communication and social skills
- Strong negotiation skills
