Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our team in the fast-paced FMCG / Food Services / Hospitality industry. Candidates residing in Port Elizabeth, East London, George areas will be considered. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction while representing the company’s brand and product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients in the food services sector (restaurants, hotels, retailers, wholesalers, etc.).
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets through effective prospecting, client engagement, and closing deals.
  • Identify market opportunities and generate new business within assigned territory.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback to inform business strategies.
  • Work closely with internal departments (marketing, supply chain, finance, operations) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline management, and client information via CRM systems.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or related field (advantageous).
  • 2–5 years’ proven sales experience in FMCG, food services, hospitality, or related industry.
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of food services distribution channels and customer base.
