Ensure that sales targets and objectives are achieved.
Key performance objectives:
- Ensure that annual sales targets are achieved by maximizing sales opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Ensure effective account management to maintain business and a positive brand experience.
- Manage and mobilize sales actions to ensure effective and timely delivery of commitments to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Actively engage according to the sales plan to achieve sales targets among new and existing clients.
- Manage the sales cycle from inception to closure to ensure deals are closed.
- Update sales reporting and dashboards regularly and provide reports to the Director as required.
- Ensure margin protection on all deals.
- Conduct strategic conversations with clients to identify needs and cross-sell opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Director to agree on actions and next steps to close deals.
Operational Alignment:
- Ensure all projects are handed over to operations post-deal with a clear handover document.
- Ensure weekly sales and operational alignment meetings take place.
- Understand and communicate margins and budgets related to projects.
- Inform the operation team of potential deals impacting operations.
- Proactively inform the CEO of potential deals requiring new material design for sourcing.
Account Management:
- Understand client structures, roles, and politics to manage relationships effectively.
- Coordinate with operational teams to ensure effective client delivery and satisfaction.
- Identify and communicate project risks proactively.
- Track and communicate learner performance and client expectations.
- Manage issues and concerns promptly.
- Maintain visibility on client sites and facilitate operational meetings and reports.
- Conduct startup meetings and ensure sales handover documents and SLAs are signed.
- Develop account forecasts based on strategic conversations.
- Navigate the sales process to secure face-to-face engagements and obtain feedback.
- Manage sales deliverables and ensure commitments are met.
- Follow up with clients post-engagement and adjust proposals as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in key sales and account management.
- Experience in HR, Training, or Recruitment industries (IT, Supply Chain, Banking, Insurance).
- Understanding of BBBEE codes and NQF (advantageous).
- Background in Public Relations or Communications (advantageous).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong listening skills and probing ability.
- Politically astute with navigation skills in corporate structures.
- Resilient and capable of handling rejections.
- Team player with action-driven, structured, and results-oriented approach.
- Driver's license and own vehicle.
- Computer literacy in MS Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, initiative-driven, disciplined, and results-oriented.
