Sales Consultant - UCOOK - Cavendish
An exciting opportunity at UCOOK has become available for Sales Consultants at our new store. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to make customers feel welcome in our store.
You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services, and recommend solutions.
A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and contribute to the store's profitability. UCOOK is a tech start-up and dinner-kit delivery service based in Cape Town.
Our network of top SA chefs creates recipes for our customers to choose from each week, and we deliver fresh, locally sourced ingredients to their door.
Responsibilities
- Uphold Company brand and standards at all times.
- Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing.
- Maximise store sales targets and encourage multiple sales.
- Provide customers with up-to-date advice and general knowledge of our products and environment.
- Coordinate with the team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times).
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers in store.
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services.
- Replenish store floor with merchandise.
- Ensure all fixtures, prongs, and shopfitting are fixed and the correct usage of equipment is adhered to.
- Ensure the successful operation of the store by closely following directives instructed by Store Management.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures at all times.
- Keep the store clean and tidy at all times.
- Unpack stock as per UCOOK procedure.
- Ensure IBT's and stock control of all incoming and outgoing stock are adhered to.
- Ensure that all administrative tasks (like Daily Banking, Daily and weekly banking sheets, target sheets, Admin cross checks (voids and cancellations), and Disbursement controls) are adhered to.
- Any other ad hoc duties required from time to time.

Requirements
- Matric or NQF equivalent.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- 1-2 years of retail and customer experience.
- Health and wellness knowledge to assist customers.
- Effective communication in English.
- Strong communication skills (listening, oral, presentation, written).
- Administrative orientation (personal satisfaction from administrative performance and responsibilities).
- Sales ability/persuasiveness (utilizing appropriate interpersonal styles and methods of communication to gain agreement or acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, or product from clientele).
- Have reliable transport.
