Sales Consultant

We are looking for a motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team and handle international inbound tour operator inquiries. The ideal candidate will be confident, self-driven, and focused on achieving goals, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities :

  • A passion for the travel industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inbound tour consulting
  • Proven experience working with overseas tour operators
  • Extensive knowledge of Southern Africa's destinations and products
  • Experience in quoting and processing FIT and ad-hoc group bookings
  • Expertise in designing tailor-made itineraries for customized inquiries
  • Experience in creating and quoting packages for agent websites
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Providing specialist advice on destinations to agents
  • Applying effective sales techniques to convert potential business
  • Managing the full booking process, from quote to final confirmation
  • Participating in after-hours phone coverage on a rotational basis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Professional communication skills, both by phone and email
  • Results-driven with a strong focus on numbers
  • Creativity in developing unique and memorable itineraries
  • Understanding of corporate customer protocol when dealing with senior management
  • Ability to collaborate with a team, taking direction to achieve collective goals
  • Building relationships with Southern African suppliers to secure the best products, services, and prices
  • Strong negotiation skills with both clients and suppliers
  • Taking ownership of your bookings and ensuring every detail is handled efficiently and professionally
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, including current and new quotes
  • Providing exceptional customer service
  • Upholding the company's core values of honesty, creativity, positivity, and fairness

  • Professional and courteous conduct over the phone and email
  • A proactive and positive attitude with enthusiasm for your work
